Social entities, like private institutions of social solidarity are non-profit  legal entities constituted exclusively on the initiative of individuals, with the purpose of giving organized expression to the moral duty of justice and solidarity, contributing to the realization of the social rights of citizens, as long as they are not administered by the state or another public body.

The objectives of social entities are materialized through the concession of goods, services and other initiatives to promote the well-being and quality of life of individuals, families and communities.
